Liz is currently the Global Head of Sales Strategy for the Analytics division of JLT Re – however, having worked in the Insurance industry in the City since 1994, she has held many positions that have enabled her to see the destruction that hurricanes can cause. Her first role as a Yacht Claims Adjuster (amongst other adjusting roles), saw her settling yacht claims from the 1994 hurricane season (hurricane Andrew) and beyond. Her most recent 15 years in London have been in the Analytics and catastrophe management world, where she assists clients with understanding catastrophe (including hurricane risk), and how to mitigate these risks.
Liz is the current Admiral of the Lloyd's of London Yacht Club and has held previous positions of Commodore, Vice Admiral, Vice Commodore, Rear Admiral and Secretary. She has been instrumental in ensuring that sailing has been a sport offered to all within the Insurance and Reinsurance community and was also key to organising the Lloyd's Yacht Club entries to the Caribbean 600 race in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013 in addition to racing in Antigua race weeks prior to this.
Liz is also a member of RORC and in the past has been a member of the race team for the finish of the Fastnet race (2011-2015).
